Rotterdams Milieucentrum

The Rotterdams Milieucentrum (RMC) is an umbrella-organization for nature-conservation -, environment - and residents' groups in Rotterdam (The Netherlands). The environmentalcenter develops projects in the field of energy(saving), climate(adaptation), airquality, urbanagriculture, greenspace and mobility and provides solicited and unsolicited advice to the Rotterdam municipal authorities. The center is an NGO and has over 80 member organizations registered. The RMC organizes city parkcooperation for volunteergroups and organizes local courses for residents on energysaving in the Rotterdam neighborhoods. The center is also the co-initiator of the DakAkker, the first and largest urbanagriculturalroof in Europe and is developing plans for a smartroof testsite (a super waterstorage roof that is controlled digitally). In mid-2018, the RMC also wants to start with the Zero Foodwaste Rotterdam project.
