Rouse was founded by Fred Rouse in 1965. Initially, he purchased a few houses in downtown Madison. As time went on he acquired larger apartment communities and started to form partnerships allowing him to develop new sites. His current portfolio includes over 1600 apartments in the greater Madison area and Milwaukee. Even though Rouse Management Company has grown substantially over the years, Fred has never lost sight of the values and ideals that helped him to achieve success. He remains dedicated to hiring the best people who share his beliefs in taking a proactive approach, providing excellent service, and maintaining apartment communities to the highest standards. Several apartment communities have won awards for property of the year, manager of the year, and maintenance person of the year which reinforces the dedication shown by all levels of his organization.
