About Sacred Streets
Sacred Streets sees the value of the most marginalized people through the process of portrait making. Each person we meet is drawn onto reclaimed objects, with saint-like symbolism. This face-to-face method of making portraits gives vulnerable people the vision and desire to choose life-giving paths. We see many people improve after their portrait. Finished portraits are exhibited in temporary sacred spaces on the streets that tell a story of restoration. Audiences are often moved to tears, trading apathy for value for every person and street corner.
