SafeRide is an app for both Android and iPhones that eliminates the temptation offered by mobile phones while driving. SafeRide is hardware agnostic - that means it can recognize your vehicle by the Bluetooth or telematics devices already in your car. This includes in-dash and aftermarket Bluetooth devices, and OBD-II (Connected Car) devices like those made by Geotab for fleet vehicles
SafeRide works automatically every time you drive the designated vehicle. When you begin to drive, your phone's audio will be muted and the screen will lock, so you can pay attention to the road. You are still able to make emergency calls and use your hands-free system. You can use your phone's navigation, satellite radio or music playlist by starting them before you drive. After you've parked your car, your phone will wake-up.
