Samueli Academy

Samueli Academy is a public, tuition-free 7-12th grade charter school founded by Orangewood Foundation in 2013. We serve youth from all over Orange County and emphasize support for teens in foster care and underserved communities. Samueli Academy is a rigorous and extremely supportive learning environment. We strive to position students for college and career success using eight educational best practices: 1. STEAM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) 2. Project-Based learning 3. Work-based learning 4. Engineering and Design Pathways 5. Small class sizes (21:1 student-teacher ratio) 6. Small student body (approximately 820 in grades 7-12) 7. Laptop for each student 8. Specialized support staff focused on the “whole” student Our mission is to ignite the passion within all students to reach their greatest potential through a nurturing and innovative learning environment.
