🤝 Progressing Equitable Representation in Cybersecurity
The SANS Institute reserves funds for underrepresented groups such as women, people of color, and veterans to provide scholarships to the SANS Cyber Academy. This program is part of the SANS Institute's mission to empower cybersecurity professionals with the practical skills and knowledge they need to make our world a safer place.
The ultimate goal of the SANS Cyber Academy scholarship program is to progress equitable representation in the cyber workforce and ensure that it accurately reflects the diversity of the US population. Over the last 12 months, the SANS Cyber Academy has donated $6.2 million in scholarships to underrepresented groups.
This investment in the future of cybersecurity is essential to protecting our nation from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. By providing scholarships to underrepresented groups, the SANS Cyber Academy is helping to build a more diverse and inclusive cybersecurity workforce.
