WINNER of the Safety Innovation Award for the Master Builders of NSW! The development of this tie system was brought up due to incidents occurring, in which workers were tampering with ties and creating a dangerous situation for the workplace. From such incidents, it became evident that better control measures were required to ensure the safety of the workers in the site, as well as working on the scaffold themselves. The scaffSAFE tie system consists of couplers installed with a custom designed spanner, on a typical Scaffold. The spanner (tool) is used to unwind the nut from the coupler. This customised spanner is personalised to contain the name of the business and a unique identification number engraved via laser engraving. This is for traceability of the tools being used by customers, via our white label cloud tracking application. This tool comes packaged in a special Toolbox which includes the spanner, a socket to use on impact wrench, an identification plaque and a Leather frog for the tool belt. Conventional scaffold tools are unable to remove the nut, due to the unique design of the scaffSAFE nut. The scaffSAFE couplers are hot dip galvanised which guarantees lifelong usage and deters rust prevention.
