Many of the top journals have annual profit margins that exceed Google and Coca-Cola. It's no laughing matter that academics donate billions each year in unpaid labour, and that staff and student suicides have become its 'dirty little secret'. We are here to do things very differently because it has become essential. We have two key missions - to open credible research to the public and ensure academics are properly paid.
