My artistic approach to scientific illustrations is due to the reason I chose to study biology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The visuals of nature have always fascinated me and I have always wanted to know how things work. I remember when I was a little girl, I would look at my mother's medical books and marvel at the strange and magical forms of all kinds of bacteria. I started illustrating scientific illustrations when I worked as a research assistant in an evolutionary developmental biology lab during my studies. I suggested to the lab professor Ariel Chipman to illustrate for a course called "Introduction to Biology and Evolution of Organisms". I learned that the students enjoyed studying the course material accompanied by colorful illustrations that facilitated comprehension. Since then, I have continued to illustrate for many researchers in Israel and around the world. I help them present their research and knowledge more clearly and beautifully.
