About Scottish Learning Disabilities Observatory
The Scottish Learning Disabilities Observatory is one of the UK’s largest research centres dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Based in the School of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow, our multidisciplinary team of researchers generate evidence to build understanding of the causes of poor health and health inequalities experienced by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, alongside research that is focused on understanding how these inequalities can be addressed. We also deliver a programme of world class, evidence-informed teaching offering the most up-to-date post-graduate qualifications and learning opportunities for health and social care practitioners.
