Sea4Value

Sea4Value will explore seawater brines as a new source for the sustainable mining of raw materials. This will be achieved by developing and upscaling novel technologies and processes for the extraction of minerals and metals in seawater desalination plants. Through this innovation, Sea4Value will create new business opportunities for seawater desalination plant operators, while simultaneously minimising the environmental footprint. Additionally, this will establish a new local source for valuable raw materials, helping the European industry to shift towards a circular economy and lowering the EU’s dependence on imports.
