Capi Bara (Valuable Forests GmbH) is a social entrepreneurship that promotes ethical, natural products from the Andean and Amazon forests. Capi Bara promotes a sustainable and healthy forest by offering a market for fruit from tropical forests that are grown conserving the forest’s natural functions. The fruit, such as Aguaje, Camu-Camu, Cocona, Copoazu and Lucuma are sold as pure frozen fruit pulp and can be used in the sweet and savoury cuisine, for ice cream, juices, cocktails and other end products. Capi Bara knows the entire fruit supply chain and works closely with fruit farmers, mainly family run communities, who manage agricultural and forestry systems. Capi Bara generates added value to forestry products, provides a market for small-holder farmers and makes forests and people more resilient to climatic and economical changes. Capi Bara’s main goal is to protect tropical forests and to improve people’s lives.
