C-Sema is a not-for-profit organisation established to promote and protect children’s rights in Tanzania. Consequently, C-Sema wants to see a Tanzania where the rights of every child are realised.
C-Sema’s core strategic programme is the National Child Helpline, a lifeline that connects us with thousands of individuals daily. With over 5,000+ contacts pouring in every day, this vital service is the cornerstone of our commitment to child welfare.
Our professional team is available 24 hours a day, ready to provide expert guidance and support in various critical areas. From child protection to maternal and child nutrition, from addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) to nurturing mental health, and from imparting sexual reproductive health knowledge to early childhood education (ECD), the National Child Helpline is a beacon of hope and assistance.
C-Sema operates the National Child Helpline as a public service through a formal government agreement established in 2013. This collaboration ensures that all calls received are expertly managed and seamlessly referred to the appropriate government department, fostering efficient support for callers.
