Sustainable Growth Initiative

The Sustainable Growth Initiative (SGI) works towards creating a sustainable and equitable future through active engagement with individuals, communities, and organisations worldwide. SGI partners with and provides advisory services to corporations, universities, non-profits, international institutions, multilateral agencies, and governments across the world to confront the most complex sustainability challenges, with a focus on climate change action, energy security, and social equity. We help policymakers incorporate energy security and sustainable development principles and practices in their activities and planning through research and policy engagement. We similarly advise and partner with companies on developing and realising new technologies, strategic initiatives, exploring new markets, maintaining competitiveness, and embracing corporate citizenship in the face of climate and energy challenges. SGI also helps investors meet challenges and risks accompanying the transition to a low carbon economy. Lastly, we undertake capacity development, business development and thought leadership activities by enabling collaborations, partnerships, and joint efforts among a variety of actors in business, policy, civil society, and academia and advancing understanding and awareness.
