The company launched its industrial operations by blending polyols used in the rigid PU industry. The facility was upgraded in 2007, with in-house technology for manufacturing both Polyester and Polyether based Blended Polyurethane Systems. This enabled the company to offer a consistent quality of polyol blends to industries like panel grade, refrigeration, appliances, automotive, furniture and shoe sole.
Based on critical analysis of prevalent market trends, the company further expanded in the year 2007, setting up manufacturing facilities for a wide range of specialty Polyester Polyols. This expansion opened up opportunities for participating in newer industry segments like coatings, adhesives, sealants and footwear.
The present success can be attributed to our path-breaking research & development efforts. The scientists have indigenously developed various types of polyols and formulations for diverse industry segments from refrigeration to packaging to ship building. Shakun Industries is also playing a very significant role in the HCFC phase out program.
Shakun Industries is among the 8 Polyurethane System Houses in India, having ultramodern in-house facilities using state-of-the-art technology for producing polyester polyols and blended polyurethane systems. These production facilities are housed in Delhi NCR, ensuring optimum proficiency in manufacturing and quality control.
