Sheepdog Haven

Sheepdog Haven is a non-profit organization created from the vision and perspective of a police officer and his wife. Their desire is to provide a safe haven where first responders can acquire the tools needed to thrive in a challenging environment while performing the duties of their jobs. First responders are continually exposed to: Death Violence Graphic scenes High expectations from society Financial stress Exhaustive hours The stress that accompanies this exposure can have very serious impacts that include: PTSD High suicide rates High divorce rates Chemical dependency Poor judgement Financial failure Our program is designed to create a safe and relaxing environment for first responders in a 2-3 day retreat. A place where we focus on an integrated approach that promotes emotional, physical and spiritual health. Sessions are designed to teach first responders how to reduce stress and harmful job related effects through coaching, counseling, training, spiritual mentoring and peer support. Sheepdog Haven brings together a team of professionals who have expertise in the programs we are designing. We have professional and spiritual coaches, experienced marriage and relationship coaches, curriculum facilitators and peer group support. Sheepdog Haven is dedicated to this mission of helping first responders.
