Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIAT) emerged as a full-time research-oriented university jointly initiated by Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shenzhen Municipal Government and organized by Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The university has six schools, including School of Life and Health Sciences, School of Biomedical Engineering, School of Computer Science and Control Engineering, School of Pharmacy and Biomedicine, School of Materials, and School of Engineering Biology.
