For the first time, employer sponsorship is not required to take securities industry licensing examinations. Prospective securities industry professionals are now able to take the SIE Exam – as a corequisite for the series exams, including the Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 79 (Investment Banking Representative). The new exam will comprise core securities knowledge previously shared among the series exams, including types of products and their risks; the structure of the securities industry markets, regulatory agencies, and their functions; and prohibited practices. And it is available to anyone 18 years or older! SIE Professor was founded by securities industry professionals Ann Griffith and Eric Field to share their insights into the industry after decades of experience in finance and compliance.
