Six Degrees is an initiative created by Podium to respond to the growing prevalence of mental health challenges amongst Muslim youth.
Our vision is to instigate a paradigm shift in the Muslim community's attitude towards mental health.
Our mission is to implement research base, community-led programmes that increase understanding of mental health challenges faced by Muslim youth.
Our name is a reference to the 'six degrees of separation', a theory which hypothesises that everyone in the world is connected through a chain of six people.
Insha Allah (God willing), through chains of people, we hope to reach all Muslims in the community who may nee help, and guide them to the support they require.
