SLID Sal (La Société Libanaise pour l’Importation et de la Distribution) was first established in 1962 in Lerbanon as the exclusive distributor of Hoechst, Beiersdorf, Degussa / Evonik and Schwarzkopf.
The SLID portfolio later expanded to include Matis Paris, Dabur International, Framar and Statement Grooming under its importation and distribution umbrella.
In 2004, SLID Sal expanded its country portfolio as DBD Holding to include Armenia by establishing IDEAS, as the exclusive distributor of Schwarzkopf Professional, Indola Professional and Dabur International.
In 2015, the company expanded its operations in the UAE and Oman with the establishment of DB Distribution, exclusively representing Schwarzkopf Professional. Operations in the GCC later expanded to KSA (2017); Qatar (2018); Bahrain (2020) and Kuwait (2021).
