At Slándáil we believe in open public debate and constructive engagement between government, industry and academia, we believe in showcasing Irish talent and innovation from both the public and private sectors and we believe that now is the time for an informed discourse on our future security & defence needs. What are our current capabilities as a country and what are our future security needs going to be? How will global mega trends or Brexit affect these requirements? How will we promote and grow our indigenous security industry and research sector as these areas grow in Europe? Join us as we seek answers to these vital questions. Building on the success of the landmark National Security Summit in early 2020 we will continue to organise virtual and physical events bringing together Ireland’s indigenous security thought leaders, researchers and industries while welcoming high profile and respected guests from abroad. We believe that we have created an important forum for discussion and we'll continue to provide opportunities for government, industry and academia to engage and debate our approaches to future security challenges.
