SMA-NJ, originally chartered March 30, 2004 as NJ Metro EMA, is a local, non-profit affiliate and staffing-focused specialty chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, the world’s largest Human Resources association with more than 250,000 members and 575 chapters worldwide. SMA-NJ is an active chapter within the Garden State Council - SHRM. As an influential voice in business, SHRM’s mission is to advance the Human Resource profession to ensure that it is recognized as an essential partner in developing and executing organizational, financial and operational business strategy. Similarly, SMA-NJ’s mission is to advance the staffing function within the HR profession by serving as New Jersey’s premier connection for talent acquisition and talent management professionals.
