Smart Resilin

Smart Resilin produces Resilin and Resilin containing products. Resilin is an elastomeric protein and is the most resilient natural-derived material known. Identified throughout the orthopod kingdom it can be found in the jumping and flying mechanisms of many insects, where it displays the high resilience and fatigue resistance required for actions such as flight and leaping. SMART RESILIN is the first company to bring Resilin into the market as a high-quality, available raw material providing the planet a unique solution to non-degradable materials. Resilin is safely harvested from nature (bacteria produced) and can go decomposition using non-potent means. As such, our non-toxic naturally-derived protein is the ideal replacement for many non-degradable plastics (plastic, nylon etc.) and many contaminants (formaldehyde and chemicals used in the production processes of leather, foams, metals (flexible conductive products) and rubber industries). With up to 95% resilience, Resilin starts the "rubber revolution", surpassing the elasticity of most rubbers in current production.
