Stella Mary's Innovation and Incubation Foundation (SMIIF)

Stella Mary’s Innovation and Incubation Foundation (SMIIF) is the official innovation and entrepreneurship development arm of Stella Mary’s College of Engineering, established with a vision to nurture next-generation innovators, technopreneurs, and changemakers. SMIIF aims to foster a vibrant startup ecosystem within the institution and the region by providing an enabling environment for idea validation, product development, and venture creation. Supported by a strong academic and research backbone, SMIIF empowers students, faculty, and early-stage entrepreneurs through pre-incubation support, startup mentorship, funding access, and industry collaborations. The foundation operates with a focus on design thinking, frugal innovation, sustainability, and social impact, and acts as a hub for interdisciplinary innovation. It houses specialized labs and innovation cells that support sectors such as electric mobility, agritech, AI/ML, and renewable energy.
