SOCAR TECD

Established under SOCAR on 30 June 2011, the Training, Education, and Certification Department (TECD) conducts comprehensive training, education, and certification processes for employees of both national and foreign companies operating within the country in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and other fields, as well as for those employed by companies operating abroad. The continuous improvement of quality is a fundamental aspect of our operations achieved through interactive training, up-to-date content, practical orientation, and the assurance of effective knowledge transfer. We offer locally and internationally recognized training programs, utilizing state-of-the-art methods and technologies, our five training facilities are fully equipped with advanced training equipment, including simulators (such as drilling simulators, helicopter cabins, life rafts, lifeboats, welding, and lifting simulators), which bring the training experience closer to real-world working conditions, preparing participants for on-site situations in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 17024, and ISO/IEC 17025 international standards. We have been awarded accreditation by prestigious international institutions, including OPITO (for BOSIET, FUET, and HUET training courses), IOSH (for the Managing Safely V5.0 training course), IADC (for the WellSharp Drilling Operations Introductory, Driller, and Supervisor training courses), and the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Additionally, we provide non-destructive testing (NDT) courses in accordance with the ASNT-TC-1A international standard. Furthermore, we offer welder certification in compliance with the ISO 9606-1 and ISO 17637 international standards. It should be noted that a basic principle of SOCAR TECD is the continuous improvement of quality and productivity in training, education, and certification processes.
