Society for Smart E-Mobility (SSEM) is a not-for-profit association of Professionals, Institutions & Industries with interest to work & contribute in developing future mobility solutions focusing on autonomous, connected, electric & shared services. SSEM is for knowledge sharing and developing an environment to manufacture e-vehicles. SSEM was formed to promote the development of technologies and products in the electric sector with the aim to encourage manufacturers as well as users of electric vehicles.
The idea was conceived by Mr. Manikandan, Head of Engineering E- Mobility, Robert Bosch, Mr. Mohan, Managing Director, Sunsil Engineers, Mr. Vasantharaj, Director, Kumaraguru College of Technology and Mr. Puli Saravanan, CEO of Digipasar Pvt Ltd, Singapore. These four lead the founding Executive Committee of the forum well supported by Dr. Chandrasekar, Corporate Director, Roots Group of Companies, Mr. A. Sasikumar, Head-Testing, Jayem Automotives Pvt. Ltd., Mr. K. Barathan, Managing Director, Ozotec Automobiles Pvt Ltd as Executive Committee members of this society
The driving force behind the formation and successful launch of the forum are our Founder Patrons, Shri. K. Ramasamy, Chairman, Roots Group of Companies, Shri. Shankar Vanavarayar, President, Kumaraguru Institutions, Shri. Anand Jayachandran, Managing Director, Jayem Automotives Pvt. Ltd., Smt. Hemalatha Annamalai, Ex-CEO of Ampere Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. and Shri. Gaur Dattatreya, Sr. Vice President & Head- Mobility Solutions, Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions [RBEI].
SSEM was formally launched on Saturday, 31st Aug 2019 in a grand manner by Tamil Nadu Transport Secretary, Dr. J. Radhakrishnan IAS and Mr. T. P. Rajesh, IAS, Additional Commissioner of Industries & Commerce in the presence of eminent personalities like Dr. B.K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and leading Industrialists, Government officials, academicians and students across the country.
