The decarbonisation of energy supply via renewable sources is a major challenge in the fight against climate change. Particular attention must be paid to heat, which accounts for most of the final energy consumption worldwide. SOLLYS aims to produce heat and electricity from concentrated solar thermal power plants including cheap and non-polluting energy storage in natural materials.
