Sortbat (Belgium), parent company founded in 2010, is Europe’s leading specialist in the secure treatment of used batteries, from 1 g to more than 1 ton, before they go to recycling installations. With advanced infrastructure, we sort batteries by chemical composition and prepare them for reuse or recycling. To date, Sortbat has processed over one billion batteries.
Sortbat covers the entire battery management chain from the end of their first life up to the point where they enter the recycling process, through three specialized business units:
1. Precycling : Handling large batteries (LMT-HEV-EV-BESS) for diagnosing, packaging, transport, dismantling, and certification.
2. Circular: Extending battery life through innovative solutions. We provide second-life certified modules and cells, as well as new storage products.
3. Consulting: Supporting the battery ecosystem with on-site analysis, R&D collaboration, and training on all aspects of battery management.
