Sovello is an integrated producer of solar wafers, solar cells and solar modules. The patented STRING RIBBON™ wafers produced by Sovello are a result of a procedure that is balanced both economically and ecologically. This is how Sovello sustainably conserves the environment. The company achieves outstanding module performance linked to a high degree of efficiency in production and the shortest energy payback among competitive products worldwide. Sovello operates three production plants in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany. The first plant, SV1, started producing modules in June 2006. The second production facility, SV2, went online in June 2007. And SV3, the third plant was finished in 2009. Sovello's nominal production capacity has reached 180 Megawattpeak (MWp). Sovello AG employs about 1.250 people in Bitterfeld-Wolfen. Since April 2010, Sovello is owned by Ventizz Capital Fund IV L.P. which is advised by Ventizz Capital Partners.
