Space 2 Be Me

Space 2 Be Me is a parent led charity based in Maidstone and working across Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells districts in Kent. We support disabled children through a range of clubs and holiday sessions for different age groups from age 6 through to age 25 and we also run stay and play sessions for children from 0-6. Our family support includes training and workshops enabling parents to learn strategies to support their children. Families are able to access support and advice and build peer support networks through our drop ins. We also work directly with parents and carers needing advice and support on a one-to-one basis. We support the whole family by running family outings to local attractions, allowing them to enjoy quality time together and meet others facing similar challenges. We run all our activities as cost effectively as possible, with a small, skilled and dedicated part time team. We work with more than 250 families every year, reaching more than 1,000 people across West Kent.
