Space Holding has identified the SPAC - Special Purpose Acquisition Company - as investment vehicle particurlarly effective to inject capital, provided by both istitutional and private investors, into small-medium enterprises (i.e. PMI) with high growth potential, willing to be listed on a regulated stock exchange. The firm assists those companies both by providing them with financial resources for their growth as well as by leveraging on the expertise of its own promoters to sustain entrepreneurs and managements in the definition and development of corporate strategies. Space Holding, moreover, actively advises entrepreneurs in their interaction with capital markets and investors.
So far Space Holding has successfully promoted four SPACs, raising € 930m in total IPO proceeds from private and institutional investors. The first three SPACs promoted by the firm, Space, Space2 and Space3, already completed the business combinations with the targets wisely picked by Space Holding's partners and approved by the SPACs' shareholders: respectively F.I.L.A. , Avio and Aquafil.
Space4 instead, the largest non industry-specific SPAC ever listed in Italy (December 2017), which raised € 500m through its IPO, is currently analyzing various potential targets for its business combination.
The long run goal of Space Holding is to become a holding of participations, not only in the target companies of the SPACs promoted by the firm, but also in other privately-owned SME with high growth potential that can benefit from the capital injection and the guidance of Space Holding's partners.
