At SPADlab, we specialize in the design and development of microelectronic single-photon detectors, with a focus on high-performance Single Photon Avalanche Diodes (SPADs). We have been contributing to the field for forty years, introducing key advancements like active-quenching circuits that enable practical applications of SPAD technology. Among our primary areas of expertise are system development with silicon SPAD arrays, and design and characterization of Ge-on-Si and InGaAs/InP SPADs, which allow to extend sensitivity into the infrared spectrum. Our detectors facilitate high-sensitivity imaging and precise time-of-flight measurements, with applications spanning biomolecular analysis, quantum information, and advanced 3D measurements.
