SPAOM

SPAOM Congress (former REMOA meeting) has had editions in 2012 (Barcelona), 2014 (Madrid), 2016 (Bilbao), 2018 (Granada), and now happens every year between Portugal and Spain: 2019 (Coimbra), 2020 (Valencia, online), 2021 (Lisbon, online), 2022 (Salamanca), 2023 (Faro), Toledo (2024) and Braga (2025), with an attendance of approximately 200 participants in recent editions. SPAOM is a three-day event focused on advances in optical microscopy and image analysis, applied to several fields in biological sciences (e.g. neuroscience, cancer biology, development biology, ...). The meeting’s signature features are all plenary lectures, community workshops by scientists and industry workshops. We aim to bring people from the Iberian and European scientific communities together and foster inspiring networking around new developments in the field.
