Spark Racing Team

SPARK (abbreviation of Solar Powered Automotive Regen Kartz) was founded in 2017 by a group of students from Pillai College of Engineering with an aim to build Electric Vehicles for a sustainable future and to provide students a ground for more practical approach to apply the knowledge gained in their academics. SPARK participated in ESVC (Electric Solar Vehicle Championship) in 2017 and achieved overall 13th position among 132 participating teams. Our vehicle generated the highest Solar output in the history of ESVC that year. SPARK Racing Team started working on their first BEV (Battery Operated Electric Vehicle) to compete in Formula Bharat 2019, An Indian Formula Student event, The series replicates the global student Formula series hosted in around 11 countries per year. Spark Racing Team is now all set to Participate in the Formula Imperial 2022!
