Despite Africa’s startup ecosystem growing at an impressive 46% annually, around 54% of startups still fail, and in countries like Ethiopia, that number rises to 75%. A key reason for this is cash flow issues, with 38% of startups running out of funds.
What We Do

Spark Tank is part of A2SV, a nonprofit that connects Africa’s top talent with global tech opportunities. A2SV trains students in data structures, algorithms, and communication, preparing them for careers in tech. With over 800 students from 20+ African countries, A2SV has placed graduates in companies like Google, Amazon, and Bloomberg. A2SV also helps grow Africa’s tech ecosystem by launching projects like Spark Tank to tackle big challenges.
