Reduce operating expenses:
By utilizing current Blue Wrap operational budgets, we are now able to transition our healthcare clients to our Flex Sterilization Containers Rental Program. This will save our clients up to 60% from what they are currently paying today for using Blue Wrap.
Increase patient safety:
Approximately 5% to 8% of all instrument sets wrapped for sterilization have to be reprocessed due to tears in the Blue Wrap. That number can increase to 30% when wrapping heavy orthopedic instrument sets. These sets then need to be “flashed” leading to a potential risk of infection. The reprocessing of instruments during a procedure takes and an average of 22 minutes per event.
Reduce unfriendly environmental waste:
Blue Wrap makes up as much as 55% of the total volume of disposable plastics leaving the OR.
The Blue Wrap is made of polypropylene and takes up to 200 years to degrade in our landfills.
Ancillary Equipment:
We also rent additional SPD equipment including case carts, shelving, tables, ultrasonic equipment, and sterilizers.
