SPE London is a non-profit professional society striving to provide a professional home for engineers, scientists, consultants, managers, educators and career development professionals in and around Greater London area.
Part of the SPE based in Richardson Texas, the section work closely with the Energy Industry, government, institutes and academia to advance the learning of its members in all aspects of the Oil & Gas, Renewable and Energy transition sectors.
With over 1500 members, 7 student chapters and a very strong board we aim to enhance industry experience and help people achieve their true potential through the Energy Transition and AI revolution.
2024/25
The theme set by our new Chair @Adam Borushek is ‘The Energy Trilemma’. This term describes the complex task of finding a balance between energy security, affordability, and sustainability. The Energy Trilemma is an ongoing and complex challenge for the UK, with no easy solutions. Each aspect of the Trilemma is crucial for our nation’s energy future, with new approaches required for government and the industry. There is a wide scope for involvement of SPE members in tackling these challenges, so I encourage everyone to contribute their unique perspectives and expertise.
