About SPE Turkey Section
SPE Turkey Section was founded in January 15, 1987 by Bumin Gurses, Ender Okandan, Aytin Göktekin, Vedat Arslan, İlhan Topkaya, Abdurrahman Satman and Coşan Ayan. In order to gain a formal statute, Petrol Mühendisleri Birliği Derneği was found in December 11, 1990 and is committed to SPE International by the ministerial council. The board of directors is elected in every two years on May in Ankara. SPE Turkey Section is the Turkey division of SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) International. SPE International is the largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry. As SPE, we offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the profession through our programs and activities and many of our accomplishments are driven by our dedicated members. SPE Turkey Section is one of the twenty one Europe sections of SPE International, and it's the 101th SPE Section worldwide.
