SPE Vienna Basin Section

The SPE Vienna Basin Section is the local section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) for Austria , the Czech Republic and Slovakia . It hosts monthly meetings and lectures typically about upstream relevant subjects in Vienna (AUT), Hodonin (CZ) or Bratislava (SZ). The SPE is a professional association whose worldwide members are engaged in energy resources development and production. SPE is a key resource for technical information related to oil and gas exploration & production. Our Mission is defined: To provide the means for collection, dissemination, and exchange of technical information concerning the development of oil and gas resources, subsurface fluid flow, and production of other materials through wellbores for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities through its programs for interested (and qualified) individuals to maintain and upgrade their individual technical competence in the aforementioned areas for the public benefit.
