We are a dedicated team committed to accelerating India’s journey towards Net Zero through our expertise in Smart Power Electronics. Today, power electronics (PE) process around 70% of the world's electricity, and this figure is expected to grow in the coming decades. PE plays an indispensable role in driving the energy transition towards a greener and a more sustainable future. As renewable energy becomes central to this shift, the demand for efficient, reliable, and adaptive power electronics solutions becomes critical. At SPEL, our research spans a wide range of cutting-edge areas, including electrified transportation, performance optimization of lithium-ion batteries, integration of renewable energy (especially solar PVs), and development of smart energy management systems and microgrids. By integrating IoT and AI/ML, we aim to create data-driven, intelligent systems that enhance the performance, reliability, and security of PE systems – all with minimal additional costs. The state-of-the-art facilities enable us to carry out our research effectively, along with various industry partnerships and projects that accelerate our growth.
