Spontaneus lab

Spontaneus is a teaching and experimentation project born in 2018 with the aim of researching the dimensions of botanical and microbial biodiversity embedded in the landscapes of the country, collecting and redistributing knowledge. The research takes the shape of different artisanal productions, and gets shared with the community through foraging, preservation and fermentation workshops, both for amateurs and professionals. We curated experiences and artistic residencies, organised workshops about a variety of themes related to ethnobotany and ethnozimology, consulted and trained chefs and farmers willing to research their edible surroundings.
