The SSOMS help with the SCOHS sets the guidelines for the practicing Maxillofacial specialty and arrange training courses and workshops training and annual meetings for over 200 members. The SSOMS is a non-political, non-profit organization with the sole objective of adherence and implementation of high scientific and surgical standards.
Secondary to the current technological advances and globalization of all aspects of our lives, it is time to break all the barriers and overcome the obstacles with the hope of optimal Oral and Maxillofacial care of our patients.
Your membership in the SSOMS will maintain the standards of the practice of Oral and maxillofacial Surgeons in Saudi Arabia at the cutting edge, allow the society to rank among one of the top 140 specialty societies in Saudi Arabia, allow you to increase the quality of care of patients in desperate need of your experience and ultimately create a sense of personal satisfaction which is immeasurable.
The society aims to achieve the following objectives:
1- Develop professional thinking in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the promote scientific and professional practice of the society members.
2- Allows professionals whose specialties within the interest of the society to contribute in both scientific and profession progress (ex: orthodontic, pedodontics, face and jaw congenital deformities, and dental implant).
3- Facilitating the exchange of scientific and professional information between the society and various institutions inside and outside the Kingdom.
4- Providing consultations and performing studies that will promote the level of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery related to different medical organizations.
5- Cooperate with the Ministry of Health and the Saudi Council for Medical Specialties, in outlining the standards of the practice of the Society and taking part in supervising and maintaining an acceptable standard of patient care.
6- Participation in raising overall public awareness.
