startsocial ist ein bundesweiter Wettbewerb zur Förderung des ehrenamtlichen sozialen Engagements und steht seit 2001 unter der Schirmherrschaft des Bundeskanzlers/der Bundeskanzlerin. Unter dem Motto „Hilfe für Helfer“ vergibt startsocial jährlich 100 viermonatige Beratungsstipendien und 25 Auszeichnungen, darunter sieben Geldpreise, an herausragende soziale Initiativen. In jeder Wettbewerbsrunde bringen über 500 Fach- und Führungskräfte als ehrenamtliche Coaches und Jurymitglieder ihr Know-how ein. Der Wettbewerb wird seit 2001 veranstaltet und ist damit Pionier in der Beratung ehrenamtlich getragener sozialer Initiativen in Deutschland. Bis heute hat startsocial rund 2.000 Projekte durch ein Stipendium unterstützt. Hauptförderer sind die Unternehmen Allianz SE, Amazon Deutschland, Deutsche Bank AG, SAP Deutschland SE & Co. KG, ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE und McKinsey & Company. startsocial is a national competition, which aims to promote voluntary social commitment. Since 2001, the competition has been held under the patronage of the respective Federal Chancellor.True to the motto "Help for Helpers" startsocial awards 100 four-month consulting scholarships and 25 awards, including seven cash prizes, to outstanding social initiatives every year. Over 500 leaders and experts from the private, public and non-profit sectors contribute their know-how as honorary coaches and judges in each round of the competition. The competition has been held since 2001 and is thus a pioneer in advising voluntary social initiatives in Germany.
