About Us STEM Atlanta is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advancing equity and excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Founded in 2016 by STEM advocate Dr. Maxine Cain, we began by empowering women and girls and have now expanded to serve all aspiring innovators—regardless of gender or background. We believe that when curiosity is nurtured and creativity is unleashed, innovation knows no bounds.
