We are designing an online marketplace through which UK farmers can sell internationally certified soil carbon credits and other natural assets by: - Developing science and data-based protocols to show farmers how much the offset market will be willing to pay them if they change their practices to capture carbon or reduce their pollutants. - If practices are adopted the platform markets the measured gains to the international corporate buyers to offset their pollutants or emissions. - Using these protocols to simplify the route to market for the farmer. - Using the protocols to inform farmers of the financial opportunities in using regenerative practices rather than destructive practices. - Producing contracts that balance buyers’ needs, farmers’ willingness to commit, and transparent environmental gain.
