Mindrum Farm: Pioneering Organic and Regenerative Farming in the North of England. We deliver productive agroecology through diverse approaches and industry collaboration. At Mindrum, we implement a diverse regenerative farming approach drawing from many doctrinal approaches. We aim to prioritise sustainability, soil health, and ecological balance in Context. Our approach is information and observation-led, focusing on managing soil disturbance, and preventing unnecessary soil damage. By maintaining green cover, continuous living roots, and integrating livestock, we create a resilient and productive ecosystem. Key Practices: Soil Management: Minimising unnecessary tillage, cover crops, organic amendments, and continuous living roots to enhance soil fertility and health. Crop and Livestock Integration: Rotationally grazing cattle and sheep to promote soil health and nutrient cycling. Pest and Weed Management: Using biological controls, companion planting, and mechanical weeding to reduce chemical inputs. Water Management: Integrating Drainage, Planting and Management to deliver a range of water based ecosystem services at a range of levels. Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health: We take an Holistic Approach, blending a range of practices, disciplines and doctrinal approaches to create a complex patchwork of productive ecosystems which support a range of diverse organisms within the Mindrum Ecosystem. Consultancy and Education: Mindrum offers consultancy services to assist farmers in transitioning to regenerative practices, providing tailored support based on both the science and art of agriculture. We also engage with the community through a wide range of farm tours, workshops, and school visits, fostering awareness of sustainable agriculture from an early age. We also support STEM mentoring, focusing on practical measures that can be taken to harness natural systems to produce great tasting and healthy food!
