Succeed in School

Succeed in School is an after-school program overseen by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that helps youth (ages 11-18) progress academically, prepare for higher education, and become self-reliant disciples of Jesus Christ. Youth gather together, usually in church buildings, where volunteer teachers lead reading, writing, mathematics, and life skills classes. Succeed in School partners with Seminaries & Institutes to operate the program, including training teachers. The Succeed in School curriculum is designed to provide youth with foundational academic skills. It also helps youth develop critical thinking skills that help them learn, grow, and develop as disciples of Jesus Christ. There are nearly 30,000 Succeed in School students in 24 countries throughout the world, with the majority of the students in Africa.
