Impact Investing is transforming how investors use financial capital and value companies. As a rapidly growing movement, Impact Investing joins the intersection of traditional financial investment strategies with socially responsible benchmarks.
The Sydney Impact Investing Society is for students and young professionals genuinely curious and motivated to learn, grow and be agents of change. Our purpose is to shift existing presumptions that investing cannot have both positive measurable impact and financial return, by providing students with knowledge and skills to use financial methods in tackling global issues.
Over the course of the semester we hope to:
- Create an interdisciplinary community of students to engage in conversations about impact investing;
- Facilitate analysis of socially responsible organisations and the impact space;
- Strategically partner with academics, mentors and industry professionals to acquire practical skills and insight.
