Sunar Mısır, which provides raw materials with its products like glucose and glucose-fructose varieties, natural starches, modified starches, dextrins, polyols, corn gluten meal, corn gluten feed and corn germ to many sectors like food, textiles, and paper industries, is the most experienced and senior production facility in the industry.
In the early 1980s, corn starches, modified starches and derivatives were imported from abroad due to lack of facilities to produce the high-quality corn derivatives that the Turkish industry needed. Sunar Mısır was founded to meet this demand by Agricultural Engineer Nuri Çomu in 1985.
Sunar Mısır, securing its position as the reliable supplier of the national and international leaders in Turkey’s industrial areas as food, textile and paper has begun to produce glucose after this product line stated to be used in food sector from the 1990s. It became an integrated facility that produces in international standards and capacity, having completed its modified starch production facility in parallel with the development of the paper and textile sector in 1992, its glucose-fructose facility in 2002, its sorbitol facility in 2013, and finally its maltitol production facility in 2015. Sunar Mısır is Turkey’s first and only Sorbitol and Maltitol producer, and the production and export of these products are carried only solely by Sunar Mısır.
Sunar Mısır, which has accomplished its broken grounds in Turkey, presents exclusive solutions to its customers at different regions of Turkey and the world with innovations it has brought to the sector and with prominent products it has produced as a result of huge Research and Development investments and innovative work, and it aims to reinforce its position as the leader in exports with innovative products. SUNAR R&D Center has been approved by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology and honored with R&D Center Certificate in May 2018.
