SuperBark

SuperBark is an EU funded project, which develops safe and sustainable adhesives and surface coatings from softwood bark, which are major industrial side streams of the forest industry. The goal is to produce adhesives and coatings with over 95% bio-based content and replace fossil-based solutions currently used in consumer products in the furniture, construction, transport, and packaging sectors. The project includes 12 industry and research partners from eight countries. The partners will evaluate the safety, sustainability and technical performance of the adhesives and coatings for further R&D actions towards commercialization of the developed processes and products. The project is supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking and its members. Funded by the European Union.
